With a V+ box, is there any way to do a series link so that it only turns the TV over to the channel or pops up a reminder.

It just gives the option to series record on the V+

No

you can set reminders to pop up and remind you or automatically turn to the channel/program you have set to remind, but you cant set it up for every episode of a series unless you manually set a reminder for each episode.
