What A brilliant program, i started all this swappin HDD stuff today at 15.00,only got me xbox 2 days ago since then its been chipped and ive purchased a 120gig HDD, and couse of this excellent piece of software Slayers its all set up ready for loads of games etc. great piece of software and couldnt of done it without all the information help, (right time to ftp the games over then)l8ers.

Im pretty sure you would need to have,


1.a chip that can be disabled i.e. with a switch.

2.u wont be able to play the games of the HDD on live,but if u own the original all should still be well.

3.If u want to play games off the HDD online there are still other ways,theres plenty of info around for that.

Hi mate, you probably already know the answer by now, but yes with the lite you can play on line as it does have a disable switch on it.

hi mate
speed is down to your prefrence, the 5400 runs slower so in turn runs cooler so folks go for them, i use a 7200 with no problems (touch wood)
as for were to buy, i now do most of my PC/ Xbox buying via the inernet

ok so i got a 120gig HDD. i installed it, and finally got avalaunch booted off of it (stock xbox cd drive wouldn't read it). well now i am trying to ftp through flashfxp to format the partitions.

everytime i put in the format command i get "502 command not implemented, superfluous at this site"

what the heck does that mean. my friend thinks that there is a different command than the one i find at 5 different sites.

thinking of fitting a duo-x 2 chip (cheapmod.com £13) and installing a spare 80b drive.
where can i get the slayer or other auto installer program so that it's totally idiot :| & stress proof to get it working ok.

does the hard drive need formatting in a pc first - simple instructions please.

THe HDD does not need formating or preparing in any way before using slayers.

To anybody when you installed the new hardrive and logged on to xbox live did you get banned as this is what happened to my friend when he put a larger hardrive in even though his chip was turned off??? does anyone know a way around this???

The xexcuter Team Advixe last time I checked and this was happening was:

Basically if you upgrade your hard drive after signing up to XBL your account will get fried. We feel there is no "drive scanning" taking place so dont be paranoid about where you are storing your files.

Solution?: Upgrade your hard drive BEFORE signing up to the XBL service
