"An evil exists that threatens every man, woman, and child of this great nation. We must take steps to ensure our domestic security and protect our homeland." - Adolf Hitler, 1933
I don't know what to say, I mean about his methods, but the pictures are pretty impressive..last one is Björk
“If I asked you to have sex with me, would the answer to that question be the same as the answer to this question?”
It was a woman actually. Kids cry all the time, it's not like they were abused in anyway. She even used her own daughter in one of the shots. I wouldn't call myself a judge of artistic merit, but they are extremely powerful shots.
(Also they have been photoshoped significantly to enhance the emotion)
..err why are they all disrobed
Greenberg is appalled that some people even saw a sexual context to the pictures. “It didn’t even occur to me that people might think that. A lot of the people who’ve been upset are men. I don’t know if it’s because they project their own desires on these images and they don’t know what to do with them and blame me.” So what’s next? Photographs of bears, she says. “I think bears can represent all the anger and scariness out there”.
“If I asked you to have sex with me, would the answer to that question be the same as the answer to this question?”
thats art dear , pure emotion in pure form ... or at least that what the photographer would say, me i`d say "where are the clothes?"
not that i`m trying to imply anything but if it were my kid they wanted to photograph, the clothes stay on....... or maybe they removed by photoshop
Oh f@ck it!

or maybe like she said , men read too much into it because of the type of society we live in
Oh f@ck it!

It didn't even occur to me that they were de-robed The only thing i was paying attention too was the emotion in the photograph.
Maybe thats because i'm not a father though
and my GOD HOW BIG IS THIS KIDS HEAD!
Either he's got a HUGE brain or he's cross-bread with one of the aliens from Mars Attacks!
There`s some proper grisly faces there!!
Crying kids in art are nothing new...anybody remember those creepy paintings of the crying blond haired child, so popular in the 60`s and 70`s??

"God is a comedian, playing to an audience who are too afraid to laugh...."
Ain't that the pic which was on the news as being 'jinxed' as certain people who had it on their wall suffered a lot of bad luck? (Houses burning down etc..)
Tbh, the fact that the kids don't have tops on didn't bother me.. being a dad of a male and female toddler, I didn't even consider it may invoke any sort of subliminal ideas.. It's a real shame these days that you have to consider how some sicko's may construe any 'desires' from such images, that's certainly not aimed at any members here. I find the innocence, fragility and beauty of a child striking (And I don't mean beauty in a 'sensual' way, but simpy as beautiful)

Sorry but not for me, just find it all a bit purvy !
Chemically enhanced
very powerfull pictures but dont agree with the methods used to get the children to cry
Does all look a bit pervy!
jesus i cant believe people automatically link a topless child with kiddieporn.
As far as them being art, i think so, the emotion is very strong but i dont like the over processed look of some of them.
The crying boy painting used to be on our livingroom wall when i was young and my mum believed all the bullshit stories about it. Someone told us that if she took it down the house would burn down so we had this revolting picture on the wall for years, it was only when the print or paint started to come off after she had wiped it so many times that she decided to bin it.
Next day the kitchen cought fire. Scarey shit!
If a man had painted these images he would probably be called a paedophile!
I think the artist "Jill Greenberg" is in some way "disturbed", for want of a better phrase.
definatley perverted if you ask me, sick fuckers
