    Question Is it possible to use a bt homehub on other broad band providers

    As topic really, girlfriend is on be there but her thomspon roughter they sent her is playing up and i have a spare black version 1 bt home, is it possible to get it working or is it just a case of buy another

    Got my bt home hub when i had it, to work with talk talk ,cant remmber how to do it but it was pretty much follow instructions ,do a google m8 should have no props
    I STINK GET OVER IT !

    you can defo reflash the firmware mate , i did a few yrs ago. as i recall they are rebadged thomson speedtouch routers. u put them in recovery mode by holding down button then flash as i recall
    google it , like above poster says. i forgot its too long ago!

    I looked into this a while ago, seemed it was possible for the older white ones but didn't find anything for the newer ones. As above it involves flashing with OEM firmware.

    BT used to restrict their router use to their own ISP's by only allowing the use of a BT user name but a quick re flash with a firmware got round that problem. See if there is another firmware for the router.
