    a puzzler

It's this easy to loose money....

3 blokes go to buy a painting at a little family run antique shop. up on seeing the painting they feel they could sell it on making a profit. The price of the painting is £30 so each man takes a ten pound note out of there pocket making £30. they give it to the young shop keeper and walk out with their painting, just as they are leaving a man comes in, its the you shop keeps father, he asks the lad how much he sold the painting for, he replys £30, the older shop keep (the father) tells his lad he has overcharged them and tell him to take 5 pound coins from the till catch the men up and give them the money. (so far so good) Upon leaving the shop door the lad sees the men about 500 yds down the road, thinking fast he relises that he can't split £5 between 3 people so he pockets £2 and gives the men a pound back each.

SO in theroy each man paid 9 pounds for the painting (£10 note takeaway 1 pound coin,) ok if the shop keep's son kept £2 where is the other one gone ???

Work it out 3 men at 9 pounds each =£27 +£2 the shop's keeps son kept =£29

F*ck knows where the other one went.... no wonder i am always skint..

    Easy and old I'm afraid,

The men pay £30 then get £1 back so they pay £27 total
Of that £27 the shopkeeper gets £25 (£30 less £5)
This leaves £2 which the son pockets.....
