Faulty go 500

Help ive been given a tom tom go 500 yaaay now the bad news the genuine sd card has only a few files on it will list if needed so dont know if i can contact tom tom direct or just make a new card if i put card in it shows a pic of card with a cross through it also if i plug tom tom unit into comp it just lists it as a removable disc and please insert disc into drive whats best option please

Quick update the fkin thing had a flat battery wasnt charging through usb spoke to tom tom all sorted and updated
