I saw Excorist when i was 7-8 and had nightmares for days, think total crap now though,Entity was good, the haunting was well freaky, jeepers creepers was tops until the end ruined it.
A good horror movie is so hard to come by.

Arachnaphobia - that scared the shit outta me - i cant stand spiders and that was the only horror film i have ever had to watch with someone else and with the light on - nothing else really bothers me, Exorcist, Evil Dead, Nightmare on Elm Street etc. - i downloaded Eight Legged Freaks for some friends so we could all watch it at my mates when his parents were away - i sat in the kitchen on my own while the film was on and didnt go near the living room just in case i caught a glimpse of it - ooh i am a wuss
You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.
any one seen this , its supposed to be really scary
I remember watching a film called "the serpent and the rainbow" it was very disturbing as its a true story concerning Voodoo in Haiti it gave me a few bad dreams as I remember..
Other films that have made me sleep in me mams bed are..
In the Mouth of Madness
Jacobs Ladder
Blair Witch project
The Omen
Evil Dead
The Shining
MoNkFiSh
Entity was a class film, A film called The Day After scared me to death, It wasn't a horror film, It was a long film about nuclear war in the states. It was only a 15 cert, but had a years worth of nightmares through puberty thinking I was gonna get fried.
Rosemary's baby was a great film especially since that bloke who is a proper devil worshipper, LeVay I think was in the film!!
Also a Hammer Horror film was good years ago, can't remmember the name but it was about being trapped in a dolls house i think and every time they tried to escape this logo would appear on the tv or something.
Not too many films our now adays shock really
Anyone remember the Legend of Hell House? It had Roddy McDowell in it....doesn't scare me now, but boy, when I was a kid....!! The first video we ever rented (back in about 1981) was The Exorcist and it scared the shit out of me (you gotta remember I was only used to Hammer Horrors at that time) - I was about 11/12 and I wouldn't go in the house on my own for a couple of weeks after. For people who say that it's not a scary film, they should watch it on there own, at night, lights off with nobody else in the house. Lets see how brave they are then.
Nothing else has bothered me nearly as much since though.
I heard alot about a jap film call Ringu or Ring so i hired it and nearly fell asleep it was so dull. No movies scare me now but when i was a kid critters scared the crap outa me.
I've never really had a film properly scare me apart from American Werewolf when i was about 10. I turned it off when he had that dream in hospital.
A good film that is more disturbing than scary is The Hole. Very odd
I am a loud man with a very large hat. This means I am in charge
Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
'Spice World' scared the bejesus out of me... Should never have been made!

This is a fun thread! Especially since you can never get a wrong answer!
That's why I chose "Return to Salem's Lot".
I think I was 10 or 11 when I saw that one (based on a Stephen King novel, ofcourse) and it scared me to death!
Had nightmares for a week or so...
Then I got older, and now, no movie is scary...
That's why I love thinking back about the night I saw the scariest movie ever, to me...
