OH DEAR
I was hoping that someone else would do the honours on this one so i've left it a few days, but no one else bothered so i may as well
If you have watched ANY of the formulaic deserted cruise ship films that have smothered us in the last few years then basicly you know the plot, ok so it has ONE twist which i cant reveal or it would destroy whatever plot this film was supposed to have.
Salvage workers go to salvage a liner that has been missing since the 60's, they board the ship and the token female salvage crew member sees what she thinks is a little girl on board, of course soon their salvage ship is destroyed (as you would expect, only not very original) and they are stranded on this deserted non function rusting ship, death slowly follows (the crews or your own depending on how depressed you become) one at a time like a chinese water torture, of course the little girl turns out to be a ghost (i bet you didnt guess that) but even though she cant touch anything, we are lucky that although she is italian and quite young on a boat that was full of italians she speaks perfect english (even without a real body or vocal chords).
Well of course they find some gold bullion and they decide to do what they can to get home on the rusting hulk (still without fuel or power of any kind), one thing i noticed is just after they get to the bridge they say the compass isnt working, but later you see it working fine .
This film is just bad, dont bother with it on vcd, cinema or any other format, rent almost any of the boat movies from the last few years, you will enjoy almost any of them more than this.
Why they made it i have no idea, its a waste of 2 15p blanks, avoid it like the plague.
1/10
oh and the release is a low quality screener which is quite dark and with their being no power on the ship there isnt much light, a pin sharp dvd picture might raise it another 0.5 in this reviewers eyes but thats about it.
AVOID
