beginner looking for frequencies

just bought a new scanner and i'm just a beginner from the durham area is there any good frequency which I should try.

Get yourself onto Yahoo groups and join the Scanproma group there. Loads of stuff in the files section.

ok did a search looks like scanpromauk is dead or dying but this has started up in its place http://groups.yahoo.com/group/promatech/

Er, definitely not - Scanpromauk is very much alive and well - Promatech was brought in so that discussions of a totally technical nature didn't gum up the scanpromauk group.

In the last 2 days I've had over 50 messages from the group.

I'll make enquiries from the owner and see how you can join...
