Just out of curiosity mate, I'm thinking of going the water cooling way and want to know how long your pump lasted?? I've always read that they are super reliable.... did you get an iffy pump?

    Cheers for any info..

"spagboll" no the chances of ur pump going like hammy1's did is RARE. Its all down to your pump and make, my mother use to bread marine and discus fish and the pumps she used never went once. I know many people purchase pumps and there rig from pet shops etc. I guess if you stick with a brand everyone knows and is fimiliar with the chances of it failing are a lot lower than a cheapo brand.

I guess you pay for what you get?

    Yikes that harsh.

As much as I hate the noise of air cooling I think for the moment I'm not that desperate for a silent solution to risk that kind of damage
