went round that one a few times
"Erm, I think we're losing sight of the real issue here, which is 'What are we gonna call ourselves?' Erm, and I think it comes down to a choice between 'The League Against Salivating Monsters' or my own personal preference, which is 'The Committee for the Liberation and Integration of Terrifying Organisms and their Rehabilitation Into Society'. Erm, one drawback with that - the abbreviation is 'CLITORIS'." - Rimmer - Polymorph

Me, Stargate and MacTheFork are heading to ECTS this year again, missed Raptor and co last year!

ECTS is free to trade, but has not been great since PlayStation 1 was established and $ony stopped doing Roadshows and big presence at ECTS! Last year there was really nothing to see, no Microsoft or Nintendo presence and not many pods, all video rolling footage!

The $ony Experience is a £8 entry fee to public and should be the key place to go to preview up and coming titles for X-Mas. It's on in the same buiding as ECTS so we're hoping we can jump on in there with the ECTS pass.

If we do, I'll be robbing the $ony stands as much as I can for freebies, cos they're stingy ****s!

See you all there on Saturday... then we're off to get nicely drunk saturday night in London Village!

    Just been there this morning.

The show is pretty darn good. Lots of good games on show (and to play). I recommend getting your photo taken with the two Page Three stunners at the konami stand.
The Tomb Raider bird is nice too - those legs are long!

SOCOM Navy Seals was a great blast. If you're experienced in FPS deathmatch type games then you'll probably end up whipping everyone else's arse. I took out 5 Seals on my first round as a terrorist. Damn.

oh, and make sure you get a PS2 ects postcard as you walk in. You'll need to hand that in at the tent outside to get a free goody bag.

I'll be going again Sat afternoon.

went this morning also, was a cool show.

had some neat breakdancing on the stage, the bird from bits doing the challenges, and that tomb raider girl - agree m8 her legs were long but if her shorts were any shorter it'd be belt.
there was also some bird from WWE on stage but i didn't have clue who she was.

getting on any decent games took a while.

one cool thing was that the sony people standing by the games were often involved in the production of the game, and sometimes asked what you though of there game.

anyway these are the games that looked good:

burnout 2 - crashes look 100x better than burnout

colin macrae 3 - was very smooth no slowdown at all on the bits i saw.

hardware(8 player network) - looks better than dropship, was fun playing networked

tomb raider AOD - seemed to be a very small demo, but it looked good nice rain and water fx

rachet and clank - looks great, plays very smooth. similar to jak + daxter i think this will be great.

socom(8 player network) - graphics are ok. alot of fun shooting other people.

played the getaway, not sure how the final game will be. some parts looked amazing, while others looked a bit rough. also the framerate was not the most stable.

auto modilista was also 8 player networked but it kept on needing to be reset.

    dissapointed by:

F1 2002 - looked very good but had some slowdown, if this is fixed it will be top.

WRC II - didn't look all that much better than WRC

that is all i can renember for now..

    the goody bag has:

    a cool light pen.
    OPSM2 mag(one with toca demo)
    tekken 4 demo disc
    Playstation Experience demo disc
some DVD i havent tied yet
    PS2 t shirt
    load of stickers + postcards
    a yo-yo

was alot of annoying kiddies tho like they have no shame in staying there for ages shame u just can't pick them up and throw them somewhere

linux on ps2 niiiice looked grovvy and the getaway v.nice too and timesplititers 2

my big disapointments mmm not enorgh networking games there should of been more thinking that sony was gonna be big on networked games.

the goody man was cool i kind feel v.sad gettin overexcited over a blue light up pen. well funny n london waving my blue light up pen to the people in the front room.
