not anymore, they are fighting it now. Looks like modded XBOX will not be able to use XBOX LIVE after all.

There is nothing new about this news. It simply made everyone aware of the license agreement that the beta testers read, including me. Of course, they have the right to check for modded xboxs, but will they? After the statement several weeks ago, it looked doubtful, and it still looks doubtful if you ask me, until someone comes right out and says otherwise. I'm using a modded Xbox on live right now, and I plan on continuing to do so.

Ok, think about this in a $ sense. XBox live is a pay service correct? So, by eliminating the "chipped" people they would only lose more $ correct? I mean come on, you already copied the game, they didn't get their $ there, why would they not want to get at least some $ back by charging for the service and letting the chipped people play also. The way I read the MS statement, I would lean more towards they will check if you have altered the game to be able to cheat somehow, then that would make others not have fun and not come back. Then they would lose $, but how would they lose $ by charging the chipped people as well to play the games how they are supposed to be played. Something to think about.....
