common fault on all rovers causing headgaskets to blow is the water pump, and they can be a bugger to replace if you havnt done one, :grr:

on that note, the common fix for rover water pumps is to knock out the small ball bearing which seazes in the pump (the cause of blown engines) and stops water flow, using a commin centre punch....:thumbs
