    Default Cheapest ADSL provider

I've got a potential buyer for my ADSL modem who wants to know if Pipex are still the cheapest provider. Are they still doing their free connection scheme? the website doesn't make it very clear...

Are there any providers cheaper than pipex?

Well I pay about £13 or so a month with pipex, I think the free modem offer is ended but im not sure about connection it was free for me and Ive been happy with it since . Although the modem didnt like my modest overclocking it works a treat now (lets hope thats not famous last words). U could do worse than look here:http://www.dslreports.com/ or http://www.adslguide.org.uk

tell them to check www.adslguide.org.uk to compare the prices. Plus.net do a cheap one without p2p and binary news, there was a new one that started a couple of weeks ago that does 19.99 can't remember who it was off hand.

ET Global Solutions Thier's two options 4 the home 1 for £18.95
and the other for £22.45 that's with vat; second option has a lower ratio to the first one (40:1) still good price.

    Default Plusnet

I use plus net £23/month Static IP extra £1 for a domain nameand 250meg webspace, they are easyly the best ISP for ADSL I've found (Used to be with BT Openworld) they have there own games servers and eveythink.

Let me know if you join so I can refer you and save myself 50p a month £22.50

They do other cheaper packages but this one looks the best package to me.

Looks like I jumped in too soon!

I went for the Onetel deal... free modem, free connection, all for £27.99 p/m.
Having said that, it works great and their phone rates are reasonable, e.g, peak 2.5p anywhere in uk, off peak 1p.

International call rates are also pretty good. USA 3p p/m

Hope someone from Onetel reads this a wee bit of commission would be much appreciated.

I have just switched from Pipex @ £23.44/mth for 512/256 to EFHBroadband @ £11.74 for 512/256 and will be regrading to their 1Mb service for £19.96/mth inc VAT... They have no restrictions on their service but they do charge extra for email accounts (£10/year)

    See them here: http://www.efhbroadband.com/

Speeds are comparable to that of Pipex and their customer support is far superior than that of Pipex which sux big mutz nutz!!!

    Info Re: Cheapest ADSL provider

V21 are currently doing 512/256 ADSL for 16.99 a month, unlimited bandwidth. Also in December they are doing a special offer with a free modem and the first 2 months for free. There is a standard setup fee of 58 quid though, or 10 quid to transfer from another provider.

If you are in NTL area they have a pretty good deal right now at 19.99 a month for unlimited 600K connection. Best deal I've seen so far!

    Attention Re: Cheapest ADSL provider

    Hi surfers,

I think the best offer out there for newbies is from CPW.

They're offering 512k ADSL with unlimited downloads for £19.99.

    FREE Modem

    FREE Connection and

FREE evening and weekend calls to all UK landlines.

Other offers that charge less than 1999 have limited downloads and incurr a connection charge.

Hope this was useful to someone out there.

Plusnets referal scheme is a complete waste of time, when I was with them I refered several friends and never got a penny discount, kept getting excuses like I didnt put the referral in properly or they havnt entered ur username properly (even tho I signed em up myself). When I finally got rid of Plusnet (best move EVER) they decided to just keep taking money. I cancelled the Direct debt and they just used the credit card details (which u need to sign up) to take the money instead. AVOID PLUSNET!!!! yep they are cheap but believe me when u try to cancel u will see how bad they really are, other people on this forum have had similar problems with them.
