What Are The Best Games ON The Playstation 2

Going to buy a few games tomorrow,just wondering if you guys had any suggestions.
What are the must have games on the PS2?

I have been playing SSX Tricy non-stop for weeks.
(What an awesome game!)

I have all the characters maxed out and I am looking for something new

Thanks for any recommendations.

P.S. what is the best american football game on the PS2?

Just install a modchip and download as many games as you possibly can,but never actually play them?

pro evolution is a good soccer game, deux ex is also good,but shoddy control system....FF X is also cool and so is MGS2 and Max Payne and silent hill 2....avoid any game made by 3do

I disagree with the 3DO comment that was made...ever heard of HIGH HEAT BASEBALL 2003!!!!!!!! easily the best baseball sim ever created!!! but all the other 3DO games are crap

Are you on crack? GTA3 is the epitomy of replay value.

A few months ago, before I had started playing the game, I was reading IGN's "games of the year" report. I was a little bit surprised that they picked Grand Theft Auto III over Metal Gear Solid 2.

...But then I understood fully, very quickly, when I started playing GTA3.

i couldnt agree more.... gta3 is definately a game that should be included in every gamers library. and for you skaters out there tony hawk 3 is good too. ico is a good adventure and gran turismo is the best racing game.
