I saw these through 'rats' on ebay, they were £199 plus £20 postage. I checked out his feedback and decided to leave it.

I started a thread to ask people for advice too. It was in pc hardware, though I didn't disclose where I had seen the offer because I didn't want them to sell out before I got an order in.

    Later...

Ok here's a couple of links, be quick though:

    buy it now £195:

    buy it now £195:

    standard auction currently on £1:

(dunno why I didn't just do this in the 1st place):

i would very much doubt the ones on ebay come with a 3 year warrenty. so for the piece of mind the extra 49 squids is well worth it in my opinion..

The ones that I was originally looking at on ebay were from the same seller (rats), I was referring to those & then thought I'd have a look there to help people out.

Here's a link to one of the auctions I was watching (now closed):

What a fukin performance, my advice is stear well clear of these people, I've spoken to them today because letsbuyit.com don't take your payment details as the company called RATSUK contact you direct, well after looking at the monitor range on Sony's website i wanted to ask which model it was I was getting for my £249, turns out its a fukin re-badged Dell model thats 2 years old.

I told him to shove it up his arse, I always knew it was 2 good to be fukin true.

yea i think i'll leave it then. What would be the best way to tell them to shove it without them saying breach of contract blah blah blah? or did you just tell them to f*** off literally, CJ?

I asked what model it was then he started on about a Dell rebadged model P1SS1NG 5H1T3 or sommat, so i said it mentioned nothing on the letsbuyit.com website about that, then I asked if it was new and he said no they are about 2 years old. i said the website didn't mention that either. Then I just said that I wasn't parting with £2.49 nevermind £249 and he said ok. He seemed a nice enuff bloke but obviously their trading practices leave a bit to be desired.

Just bought a supposed Sony Trinitron 15" monitor from RATS a few days ago. Turns out to actually be a Dell monitor and it is not new. It is very "scrubby looking" and has a few bashes, i.e. the pull down bit for the controls - a part is missing off there. Also- there is a line across the monitor that appears continuiosly whilst the PC is on. Here is a link to the item I bought:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...045282037&rd=1

It also occasionally starts flickering- something I've never had before. Where do I stand as far as getting my money back? Would I get the £12.50 shipping fee back too? I don't want to have to pay for his shipping if it is gonna cost me £20 to send back...... Also- he seems to be an 'unregistered user' at ebay now.
Any info b4 I send him an email? Cheers,
    Sam

It's a fukin joke m8, i'm gonna word a strong email to letsbuyit.com about them, in conjunction with RATS UK they are trying to rip people off, in a bit of small print it said part of liquidated stock, nowhere did it mention a Re-Badged Dell thats 2 years old and has been fukin used. Also I asked about the 3 year warranty, it isn't a warranty from Sony, is it fuk, its a 3rd party warranty.

These fukers, along with letsbuyit.com should be avoided at all costs.

The 2 lines are the Aperture Grille holder, perfectly normal and I have them on my monitior and it doesnt bother me in the slighest.

digiuk Is a good placed for refurbished Sony monitors (all official, standard Sony guarantee etc.) but Sony monitors seem to be a bit hit and miss when it comes to quality.
