Default Liverpool becoming like Chelsea and Arsenal

I hope Liverpool win nothing this year, the french man bought five foreign players to a team that is already 50% foreign.Get the french man out and put big nose in charge.

Why shouldnt he buy foreign? All the english players are overpriced premadona's who beleive it is their right to earn £45k a week. Well fook 'em, If Liverpool achieve the goal of winning the Prem title then I dont care what nationality the players or manager are. I support Liverpool as a team of players not as a nationality.

True Houlier is a frenchie so why would he give a shit about Engand!!

However, Man U has always had a manger from these fair British isles!!!

Haha.... I'm sure Fergie is less arsed about englands sucess and more his boys doing well!!

    Even so.....

With half the outfield england players being United boys maybe Owen should move this way up the 62 and join Rio, G Neville, Scholes, Butt and Captian Becks!!!

    United THE PRIDE OF ENGLAND!!!

MerlinL14 must be one of these foriegn asylum seekers who doesn't care about the red and white of Saint George!!!

Saint George was a turk and never set foot on English soil so your agument holds as much water as Man Uniturd winning anything this season (again)....

Ahhh but saint George is a symbol...

Saint George is the patron Saint of battles, It is also said that he appeared to our English King Richard I (the Lionheart) during his Crusade against the Saracens, which served as a great encouragement to the troops. Hence why he was adopted as our paton saint!

    I quote Shakespeare

    Originally by Shakespeare, Henry V (1599) act 3, sc. 1, l. 31
I see you Stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the Start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit; and, upon this charge
Cry "God for Harry! England and Saint George!"
So it doesn't matter who he was or how/where he lived. His legend was inspiration to that feeling of english strength!

And indeed you are correct Scousers are the finest history teachers. What was it 4 european cups two decades ago.... how may we never forget!! (or were you refering to Gerard Houliers former job?) :rolls:

Anyway enough, I'm off down the pub!!

Half of the foreign imports Gerard Houllier has brought to Liverpool Football Club have turned out to be superb signings i mean £2.5 million for Sami Hyypia one of the best centre halves in the world £4.5 million John Arne Riise another world class player if you look at the english players the clubs demand rediculous money £ 30 million Rio Ferdinand look at the difference between Sami and Rio thats why the foreign coaches bring in foreign players because there a lot cheaper and some are a lot better than english players.

    Best Regards

Arsenal bought Gbilerto Silva for £4.5 million before the season started. A brazilian world cup winner who played all the world cup games.

English players are not to much money if you build a team instead of buying it, Houllier doesn't give any player a chance unless thay have a reference.

Owen, Heskey, Murphy, Gerrard, Carragher, Kirkland and a load of promising youngsters coming through the ranks.

If you look at Englands strongest team you will find that at least 33% of that team comes from Liverpool.

And the rest from the Mancs and the arse, so it is a bit of a weak arguement saying we have no english players.

Is this lame thread here because the only signing Alex Ferguson had made is Rio Ferdinand.

Well what about defender Escude, and possibly Carini as goalkeeping cover........... Dont sound too English for me.
