capture tv in video with Gainward

Ok, i'm quite new with this but i manage how tv out worked finally . But with tv in i got picture to the comp, but no sound? And are there any better capture programs than the intervideo wincoder that comes with Gainward? And what format/size would be best to save to from video in? And i noticed when i tried my first capture, there some lines down on the screen, but it's not on the original video, is there anything you can do about it?

you have to hook the sound up through the sound card and configure it that way. As far as the lines go I have no clue. Perhaps you need to get the latest drivers or something. I have never actually used the capture feature, just video in on my card
