Sonic 4

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I only recently found out.

Sega have been working on 'Project Needlemouse' and it's recently been revealed that this will be the first episode in a new series of 'Sonic 4' which is going to be a 2D sidescroller carrying on from the story of Sonic 3 / Sonic & Knuckles.

cool, proper sonic at last, dont think any of them have been any good since the mega drive days, which is a shame as in 2d they were fast bright and easy to play

I agree, the only ones that I played after S&K was Sonic Advance 1, 2, 3 on the GBA.

I gave sonic 1/2 a go on the ipod. This is looks the same. Every sonic 2d game is the bloody same why would anyone want to grid through this shit I will never know.

I don't see what's taking sooooooooo long with this, I'll bet it's one full game and they can't decide how to split the episodes.

Wait until it's all available for download as a bundle otherwise this will cost a bomb.

The huge backlash from sonic fans against this game, means Sega are redoing parts of the game. For e.g the mine cart level () is going to be ipod only and wont be on the xbox/ps3 versions. Apparently they have fixed the physics along with removal of the speed boosters too but its all speculation from preview videos on youtube etc
