Does my Xb0x needs to be fitted with a modchip to do this ?
Many thx
yes it needs some sort of modding cause a standard xbox cant read unsigned code.. unsigned code is an .xbe that hasnt got m$ certificate...Originally posted by rootsrock

Thanks Litasfan. Was the Readme straight forward enough?

Goldberg....you are da man!
I'm a total noob, just got the X-Box modded with the X-ecutor Wednesday. I'm interested in getting into some of this stuff but was a little to chicken shit to try it, I was a little too chicken shit to try installing the chip in my new X-Box too!
Your ISO was SOOO simple to use, and your ReadMe was super at explaining everything in detail for guys like me who haven't messed with anything like this before.
Great job, and I really appreciate all the work you put into this to help out guys like me!

Er, what about thanking the people that actually made Evox, xbcopy etc?Originally posted by chadds

Yeah, and the people that invented that box. Especially those who put those boxes together and probably got paid feck all for it. Don't forget the factory sweepers either - without them you would have a dirty xbox. Oh, and their dinner ladies.

Yes, the main people to thank here are the creators of the software. I have basically compiled it onto a disc for you and created a readme for the beginner.

Hello All,
I would first like to thank the people who take the time to make guides for nubs like myself
2 quick questions:
1. Is it possible after loading Evo using the no pc method generously provided by... Goldberg..&..ZX7R......to load xbcopy?
In my opinion xbcop should be essential to the no-pc package since it allows you to copy (back-up) xbox games directly to your xbox hdd via xbox rom drive without a PC..
2 Most likely a lame question but after using this method can xbox media player be installed & is there anything special to note regarding the install of this program?
Again Thanks for making the xbox hack scène more FUN & Accessible for nubs!
whats up all I wanna thank Goldberg and all who were involed in making this for us noobs, this was the best tutorial Ive seen yet to get the evox on my system and it worked flawlessly. So big props to all those who had a stake in this and good looking out for us new guys. Thanks again
Can you make me an iso with the new evox? The same menu's as the one you posted earlier but with the new version and features? You don't need the evox mod chip to use the new evox do you? This was a good idea because i don't have a network card in my PC.
FTP! Xboxplorer does the same thing as Xbcopy. You load X-Boxplorer, make a new folder in the games folder on the E-Drive. Call it buffy (if you dumping Buffy) then copy the contents of the D drive (make sure you put the disc in before you boot_ to the new folder you have created. Once done reboot and in the main menu goto the games option and buffy will be there to play
If you go through the readme it will become clear.
All of the essential software you think is missing from the ISO, well basically just do as above in the Apps folder on the E-drive and there you go
I am going to work on one with all of the apps, emulators etc.... but you will have to put your own roms on. i dont want my wrists slapping

I certainly prefer xbcopy to boxplorer for a dvd to hdd copy. it is faster and results in less errors. Although, boxplorer is invaluble when coming to browsing, renaming and moving goodies around your hdd. Then again, XCommander does all that boxplorer does and more. It has both panels (source & destination) on one screen and has got a very nice file overwrite selection feature which is absolutely incredible when trying to replace a couple of missing files in a 4.4 GB game. My suggestion is to install all these kind of apps and use the ones that you enjoy most.
Does anyone know where to get the emulators? Or can't you say coz of the XDK crap? Can someone email the Snes, nes, GBA and any other emus except mame to ogilvyda@hotmail.com please? Well, links to them anyway. And where can i get xbcopy and other programs?
When you create a new folder in apps or games it will create a shortcut to games/nameofgame/default.xbe right? That is what the auto add command in the menu.ini is for. am i right? even noobs can work that out.
Thanks for making this goldberg coz i don't have a network card and i don't know where to get all the programs and stuff.
