Yeah, you are right. HDD Loader is good. It just bugged me as it created new folders on each partition and doesn't have support for an existing F:\GAMES\ folder. Maybe the next version will be more 'open minded'

Got evo-x running. Pretty easy to do even for a noob thanks to goldbergs info. What is new in the new version of Evo-x anyway?

Has more useful features for the advanced users for networking etc.... Not that you not advanced but you like me will probably find that we wont use it.

Just a simple quesition:

The games i put in the /Games/ folder on the dvd.

Will they be transferred to the xbox hdd, and then playable,
or can i play em from the disc itself?

HELP PLEASE XBPlayer / DivX Movies

Hello Everyone,

I have been fighting w/XB Media Player 5.0 & 6.0 trying to get it to play DivX for an embarrassing amount of time. All the below was done without PC networking. Here's my history:

XBox Setup: chipped w/ XIOS
1. Loaded EvoX & boXplorer & other programs (Goldgerg package) via TDK CDRW to XBox HD on e: drive with no problems.

2. Ripped XBox DVDR game (Amped) to XBox HD on e: drive successfully. Game booted and played fine.

3. Loaded XBPlayer 5.0 & 6.0 via TDK CDRW to XBox HD on e: drive with no problems.

4. This is where my success story ends...I am UNABLE TO PLAY DivX using XBPlayer on my XBox. As a matter of fact, I cannot even get the XBox d: drive to recognize the DivX burned on the same TDK CDRW media that was used on all of the above steps.

If you have successfully played DivX using XBPlayer, please help.
Where am I going wrong? Also, please give details; everyone experiencing my DivX frustration will be Grateful for it especially myself.

Do I need to use the EVO-X modchip in order to flash my Xbox? I guess i dont quite understand what goldberg is accomplishing and would like to know more...
