Help building a Formula 1 body (sort of)

Hi Guys,

Ok this is a bit of an odd question which I will get to in a sec.

My mate has asked me to help him build a Go Kart for his son, this shouldn't pose too much of a problem. However, his 5 year old son has somehow managed to talk his father into building a Formula 1 car body around it! He has asked me to help him design/build/Pull my ****ing hair out for him, there is a possible good side to this, he will put a good word in with his wives friend who is apparently a stunner, so I should get a BJ out of this, and u never know, maybe I could talk her into given who ever helps me out on here one too!

Basically I need any info on a website that designs/builds such a thing or anything close.

Uhh.. As far as I know F1 car bodies are made out of FiberGlass... You would have to go to a factory which does FiberGlass products and talk to them.. or just search on google.com....

think there made of moulded carbonfibre not really the sort of thing you can knock out of your garden shed unless your gona invest loads of cash in machinery best suggestion is wrap go cart in chicken wire and cover it in papermache and spray it black and try not to soak it in petrol

Forget using carbon fiber/fiberglass. Unless you know what you're doing, and have lots of cash, neither one of those will work. The problem is, look at how real go carts are shaped (rectangular), and look at how F1 cars are shaped (more like a fighter plane). You'd have to do a lot of work to convert it, or redesign it properly. Not to mention it would be horribly out of proportion. Go-carts are usually barely longer than the guy sitting in it. So, good freaking luck.

Save your sanity, just take 5$ and go get a BJ from some discount-whore downtown somewhere.
