    Default Anon ISP sign up

My current isp has come to an end (i was (cough) borrowing the u/n and p/w from my ex-work, but someone changed the pw ) Doh!

So i was thinking of going legit and signing up for an isp, prolly Plusnet they seem to have good reviews and i haven't got Broadband yet.

Is it possible to use false details to sign up for an isp contract unmetered as long as i use my own CC details, do they have to match???

    I was just wondering??

to do a CC transaction, without you being their in person, they must match your name and address to your registered address for your CC.

Not strictly true - it depends on the company policy - for instance Comet Plc (Mail - order and Internet Orders) have a floor limit under which they won't even attempt to match an address with Barclays Merchant Services as they are charged a fee for each call to them.

Just to give an example during my time there orders for white goods under £300 didn't even warrant a phone call to BMS to confirm the registered card user's details - even in cases where the goods were being delivered to an alternate address than the supposed card owner.
