I got one of these a couple of weeks ago (40X12X48 for £39 from the local computer fair - bargain). I put it in and none of my burning software would detect it. I had a Yamaha rewriter before which was fine. This was a software thing rather than anything wrong with the drive though. It come's bundled with a version of Nero which does work. It wouldn't work with my old versions of Adaptec Easy CD Creator, Nero or CDRWIN and it took some fiddling to get these working again (either aquiring new versions or messing with new ASPI drivers). I haven't tried it with DiscJuggler yet but it DID work with CloneCD after I had got the above three packages working. And they say you should only have one instance of a burning program installed
Apart from that it's an excellent drive. The SmartBurn stuff is cool. You can carry on using your PC while you are burning an not worry about making another coaster.
So you're the slayer. You're prettier than the last one.
