    Default Dreamchip 4 wire help!!

I have recently installed the Dreamcast 4 wire mod-chip according to the online instructions. After I turn it on, the Dreamcast symbols shows up as normal and then it just sits there displaying the symbol. What could be wrong with my chip? Is there any way I can test it to make sure it is correct.

    Thanks,

Why do you want to install a modchip in your dreamcast? It's just for imports, isn't it? You can also use a boot disk for that.

You might want to try taking the chip out and seeing if your dc still works. If it does, solder it back in. You might find that you soldered one wire in the wrong place. It can happen. Make sure you haven't put any extra solder in that would bridge two connections wrong. I haven't installed one of these chips. All my imports are "backups"
