XBox HD Sway...I have to chip it to do this?

Am I right? I have to chip the Xbox to put in a larger HD? IF so why, and what chips support this? That chip with the lpt port looks rather nice...forget what it's called...any suggestions though.

Sorry I know I'm a newbie

but I am a computer engineer...so at least I know something right?

Yes you need a chip - the x-ecuter is the best one.

Thanks. Why is it better than the openxbox bioxx chip per se? Just because of the 1 solder point?

Did you know that tef89's response, "Yes you need a chip", is actually shorter than your response "a search button exists" (15 ch vs. 19 ch)..so not only did you waste your own time writing that but also mine reading it. I already searched for xbox hard drive and didn't return a reply explicity stating this. Remember, forums like this are here to actually help people...
