Cant turn off my XBOX

Hey, I know, that sounds like a stupid thread... but hey, it happened for real (i unplugged it for about 15mins then plugged it again and it was fixed) but im wondering what the cause could be (i turned it on, played Amped, turned it off, went to work, came back (but didnt really pay attention when i left, cuz it was still on when i got back from work))

its a non-modded north amerian xbox, with the original amped ...

happened to anyone out there?

Hey dude sounds wierd does it happen all the time? I dont know much about xbox im just cruising through the forums cause im thinking about getting one. Was your xbox connected to a phone line? I dunno if it has Wake On Lan but I know this happends with alot of people pcs they leave a network cable in or phone line in and goto sleep get up and its on. Maybe the same sorta thing or a power surge? Or your bro came home before you played it and left it running or something wierd. Maybe you hit reset not power off who knows if it happens again id be taking it straight back and getting a replacement xbox

unless im really dumb, isnt the small button on the front the Power button?

now its doing it again... wont shut down, i unplugged it for the night, ill plugit back later and we'll see!

I had similar problem with my "unmodded" unit. I simply exchanged it for different unit. There are some bad batch of Xboxes floating around.

Take it straight back dude and get yourself a new one lucky you havent modified it.
