Problem with switching xbox dvd drive.

I bought a pioneer 106... and put it on my xbox with the Y splitter and did not work, i tried the two methods, with the original game on the xbox dvd drive, and without this, and nothing, i was wondering what im doing wrong, im really desesperate and i want help please, i have tried almost everything to get this xbox work :/.

Let me get this straight. You can play original xbox games now on your regular xbox dvd drive, right?

You SWAPPED out the xbox dvd drive for a pc dvd drive, correct? Jumpered it for Cable Select and used a y adapter for power?

Just for clairification...you do need to have the PC-DVD rom set as a SLAVE drive and not Cable Select. Make Sure that you have the yellow power cable still plugged in the Xbox DVD drive.

Well yes, i can play original games in my xbox drive now, and i put the pc-dvd above the other one with the y splitter, and i put it slave the pc-dvd, and the yellow power cable still plugged to the xbox dvd drive.
And still the same
