The Qashqai has been built at Nissan's NMUK Sunderland, Tyne and Wear plant since December 2006. It is the first model to be styled by Nissan Design Europe in London, with engineering development led by Nissan Technical Centre Europe (NTCE) in Cranfield, Bedfordshire.

I was really jammy today as I was in having a check on my old one a new model one turned up.

I was told by the rep that it was the first one in Britain to hit the showrooms.

He took me for a sneaky spin in it before informing his bosses it has arrirved.

I was talking about getting in red but think I might actually get it in black.

Talked a bloody good discount and had 2 years free servicing and a few other perks thrown in. Apparently Nissan are giving a presentation in the Showroom on Thursday so I'm going back to see what freebies I can bag.

Always worth a haggle. I was one of the first to get the new shape Astra. Took the sales man 2 hours to sell me it. i was going to get it anyhow but just held out. even got the wifey to ring my mobile and have a dickie fitt with me on the phone telling me that we couldnt afford it.

I work for RAC and we dont get many of them breakdown at all just the usual human error stuff like out of fuel and lockouts. Good car all round mate.

i spot qashqai's when im working with my bro, we do first to 20, sounds a bit sad but it help the day go a bit quicker, they are getting more common now, they are a nice vehicle

The Build quality must be good..... My mate takes all of the Qashqai's round the test track for the QA drive, if it can survive the 3 minutes with him you should be good for about 10 years of normal use
