    Default DVD Burner help

Alright i have a Sony DVD + RW/CD-RW DRU -120 A and im having a lot of problems with it. ok i got RecordMax with it and im supposed to be able to burn .GI files with that so i load up the .GI file (my burner is reconized and everything) then i put in a Blank Verbatim DVD-R and it says that the CD dosent have enough space a 1.3 gig file and most of the time it dosnet even read the DVD-R, i already tried to insert another dvd but nothing? should i take back the sony and get a Phillips? i wish i could get a pioneer but they have none around here.

    I dunno if itīs a typo from U , but a DVD+RW burner only supports dvd+r and dvd+rw discīs and not dvd-r..
If itīs not a typo, make sure U have the latest firmware and that the software is up-to-date.

I have a hp dvd+rw myself works fine, but my ps2 canīt play the recorded discs (dunno about dvd+r, only tried dvd+rwīs), Iīve tried hp and some cheap brand dvd+rwīs without any luck. Works great in my standalone player and comp dvd readers.
Some say that only newer models of the ps2 v4+ can play dvd+rīs.. but I dunno how true that is..

If I had the option to change my dvd+rw for a dvd-rw I would do it right away.. Mainly because of the ps2 issue, and the fact that dvd+r and dvd+rw disc are so expensive compared to dvd-rīs here.. My computer came with the dvd+rw drive so I didnīt have any options (besides not getting a hp comp cheap)
    Just my thoughts.
