They are a nice car to drive. 170 bhp standard and rear wheel drive. Watch the back end in the snow and slippery roundabouts though. (Good fun drifting when you want to.)

Check all the normal stuff especially blue smoke on start up and changing up and down the gears.

Fit a dump valve for extra grin factor. Sounds good and keeps the turbo spining so less lag.

Make sure you add a nice set of big alloys, at least 17"s.

Have fun and don't get :banned

They are fast but I've heard the handling is a bit naff on them.
They are a very old design, probably pre 1990 or something and the chasis isnt all that, and with rear wheel drive they can be very slidy especially in the wet.

They look a bit dated too.

Why dont you go for an MR2 or FTO just as quick or quicker and look better and have better handling (MR2 is Rear wheel also, but FTO is front).

I have an 'S' reg one for sale in green , drives ok , not greatly fast but fast enough really.
The handling is ok for a car of its class.
This one has high miles but shows no faults apart from the steering belt squealing that needing replacing.

I quite like it , but find it something that I would get bored of very easily should I use it every day.

As jimbob says theres better cars out there for the money and I don't really rate em.
