weird noise from my 306

basically that ticking sound that u get when u indicate in ur car, i get that randomly at a faster pace, when i am not indicating and driving on the motorway, or when i am just driving generally, and the indicator isnt on, it doesn't happen when i do anything in particular, seem to jsut randomly kick up, i dont know why it does it, or how it happens, jsut wondering if anyone does and if they do how i could possibly stop it. its a 1997 R-reg 306 glx 1.8 16v, if anyone can help it would be much appreciated

I think it seems tot sound like a relais or something, if I get you right.Maybe you have to look if the sound is coming from the direction of your fusebox,
sometimes there are also relais surrounding.
An other option is the sound of an airco that is on/off to keep temprature steady.

its the indicator relay. mine has been doing it for years, went to get it looked at but the guy said it was fine and is just something that happens in cold weather. Just try and ignore it.
