Do you think we could build The Great Pyramid using today's technology?

I think so, but Its a bit short notice and I have plans.
Dont know about everyone else, but It is friday, so I guess they may have plans too!
Easily i reckon, we have machinery now!
Definately. Unless Baratts or Wimpey homes tried too.
Lol @ Jimbob..
Of course we could, whether we would want to is a different matter.... Mind you we built the millenium dome.

hmmmm after lookin at the attached photo for some time . . . . i reckon it might just be possible !
they wouldnt be so much great as they would be a waste of time, what would we use them for - saying that i recon they should build a hotel out of 1 :beard: *me scratches my beard*

Could we .. what if we only had there tools
mind you MR Blair would just get a few more illegal's
then we could
without any trouble at all as long as we suspended the human rights of the entire population, after all when they were built no one gave a fuk about the health or the saftey of the workers (slaves), i would imagine the only country where such a structure could be built at present would be somewhere like north korea where almost the entire population could be forced into it "for the good of the leader"
great, think i am going to have to imply north korea's policy's in my house
yeah we could but they'd probably say it'd cost around 10 million and then after a month of work its gonna cost another 15 million due to mis judged time plan then a year later with half the work done the foundations start sinking as the contractors tried to cuts corners by not having the land checked before work took place so then we either knock down and build somewhere else or strengthen the weak ground under the new building...
Meh....
As soon as it was built, a huge sign would be slapped on the side saying:-
"MACDONALDS - 500 YARDS ON LEFT"
hehe

Put Mcguyver on the job, give him a couple of yoghurt pots and a crab stick and he'd have a couple of pyramids up in no time.

Techincly the pyramid structure built in las vegas nevada was a far more complex construction task as its by its nature had to be a hollow structure, building by placing blocks one on top of the other like a child does with leggo is literaly childs play in comparison to building a hollow pyramid structure of and great size.
I believe there also plans afoot to create a hollow pyramid structure 86 times the size of the egyptian ones in tokyo harbour to create a city within the city, of course its a long way off but i was only hearing about it a few weeks ago (source discovery channel europe)
Luxor is awesome mate, I've got some sweet photo's of that place kicking about somewhere. I like the SG-1 style beacon at the top which is one of the brightest lights in the world (might be the brightest, you can see it from outer space)...Originally Posted by ABCMan
