    Default making usb drive bootable

I`ve just purchased an USB portable hard drive, my motherboard supports USB bootable drives ( CD-ROM, Hard drive and Floppy).
How do I make this USB hard drive bootable ie what files etc do I need to install on it etc. BTW I`m running 98SE.
    Cheers.

Your BIOS needs to be told to boot from the USB drive first as opposed to the internal one, however I don't think you will find that option because it has'nt really been considered by most (if not all) BIOS manufacturers yet.

My motherboard does support booting from an USB device wether it be a floppy, hard drive or usb cdrom. It`s an epox EP-8K7A. All I need to know is how to make the hard drive bootable.
    Cheers.

    Simply "sys" it then.
Assuming your USB hard drive has the drive letter "E", simply type "sys e:" (without quotes) at the command prompt and press enter.
