sony z5:security code

i was gonna buy a sony z5 as a second fone off a m8 but when fiddling wothit i stumbled across a problem with it.
when u try n edit or add ne numbers 2 the fone book(sim or handset) it asks 4 a security code.
im assured that the fone is legit and the person who has it is gonna speak 2 the lass wh had it originally(from new). can ne1 shed ne light on wether sumthing is locked on the fone or does nebody know wot the code is?
everything else works fine

Hi,

When you have the phone, take the SIM out and type *#73287489263373738# (*#securitycodereset#) with the phone on. This will reset security code to 0000.
