    Default X-ecuter botched install

Hi, I installed an x-ecuter today but it does't work. I'm using the alternative wire solder point on the bottom of the motherboard but when I boot, the led flashes red and green. I re-soldered the lpc points but it still repeated the same thing. I didn't tin the points before, could this be the cause? I definitely didn't splash any solder on the board. If I disable the mod, it still plays originals fine. Any idea what I can do guys?
    Thanks:o:

Did you solder the point at the screw hole? I installed one the other day, it looked sweeet but didnt work. The reason being I had missed that solder point.

    Just a thought!!!

It is hard to get it off but not impossible. The way I took mine off was to lift a corner (be a little forceful) and unsolder the points from closest to that corner out. If that makes sense. Just keep applying heat and eventually it will come off.

    Hope that helps ya!

It's easy to take the x-ecutor out. Get yourself a solder pump/sucker. Heat up the connection points, and suck off the solder. I have managed to remove x-ecutors in a matter of seconds like this. Also, before attempting to remove it, have you tested that each of your solder points are making contact? Simply prop the MB on it's side (lean it on the heat sink) and use a DMM to test for continuity between the solder points on the mod and the solder points on the other side of the MB. They might look like they are connected, but that doesn't always mean they are.
