you don't need a username or password for smtp servers - ie:

220 Mail Relay Service ESMTP (scrabble.freeuk.net)
    helo digital-forums.com
    250 scrabble.freeuk.net Hello adsl-xx-xxx.claranet.co.uk [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
    mail from: billgates@microsoft.com
    250 <billgates@microsoft.com> is syntactically correct
    rcpt to: aido@mybad.co.uk
    250 <aido@mybad.co.uk> is syntactically correct
    data
354 Enter message, ending with "." on a line by itself
    to: <aido@mybad.co.uk>
    from: <billgates@microsoft.com>
    subject: job offer

    dear aido,

please have a job and a million quid on me.

    cheers,

    bill g

    .
    250 OK id=17o6em-000L5A-00
    quit
    221 scrabble.freeuk.net closing connection

    Connection to host lost.
just set the software up to allow messages to just his domain, ie if his email address is bird@bigjugs.com just allow emails for bigjugs.com

Just had a quick look at the Argo homepage and it doesn't really tell you if it supports domains etc - says you can add them so it should be alright but doesn't say whether it rejects mail for domains not on the list.

    give it a go.

if you like give me a yell when you've changed it and we can give it a test.
