    cheers guys ;.)

    this is my 2nd attemp
    i failed on 3 serious,

    going to slow
    meeting traffic
    trafic lights

its so strange. as ive been driving on l plates for 8 years and not 1 single crash,

    yet i failed???

but my step brother had his test not long after mine and he passed? he only had his license 3 months,

damm i really thought would pass my first test easy but it was not so

i think the thing what done it for me was nerves took over,
as heres what i did wrong when i failed,

    1, going too slow:
again this is so strange because when im driving normal, i tenk to exeed the speed limit not go slow?
again i think it was nerves that took over as on the day of test i just never realized my speed,
    even the examaner said,
"i know you were tring hard, but come on you did overcook it, we never got over 30 miles per hour on the whole test"
strange it just never dawened on me i was going too slow?

    2nd, traffic lights,
again when im on my own i tend to just get over lights on amber,
on my test i was comming up to 1st set on lights,
got over in time on amber,
    came up to 2nd set,
there was a car in front of me and again got over on amber,
    well so i thought,
after the examaner said, "igave you the benefirt of the dought on the 1st set of lights, but you did it again on the 2nd set"

i was so gutted i failed, its one of the worst feelings, and it really put me off the whole idea,

well eventully i applyed aagin for my test and its in under 2 weeks now,

i had to apply again as my theory runs out november the 1st

im retaking it at the same test center so i hope i dont get that same twatt again!

at the end of the day i think its all down to nerves taking over,
as you know there some fat twatt looking at you in the corner of your eye,

any hints etc to get rid of nerves would be appretiated
and also how did you calm yourself down on your 2nd attempt lads??

on first test i was abit nervous but i got 2 minors and 1 serious (which would of been pretty good if 1 wasnt a serious). on my second test i wasnt nervous at all and i did really bad something like 12 minors and 1 serious on my thirds test i was abit nervous but not too bad and i did ok but not as good as the 1st time.

im hoping i have it all sussed out this time, the thing that puts me down is i dont have any papers i lost them and i havent sent off for new ones so i have to sign some papers when i go for a test and i know they look at me thinking if this guy isnt bothered enough to bring his papers im not going to pass him.

my driving instructor said im the best driver he's got and he even said he thinks i've been cheated out of a couple of test passes, he does tests with me all the time just to see how i go on and i always pass.

when you pull up and they say "i'm sorry..." it's the worst feeling in the world, it's like someone in your family just died it's just horrible and i've had it done to me three times now.

    yeah same here,

but whats happened to me now is:

i havent had any lession for 2 months, as ive been saving for my test,

well i had the test date throught (its under 2 weeks)
so i phoned my driving instructer to tell him, and the stupied
twatt is going on holiday, the day of my test,

so ive had to phone another school yesterday,
and hes booked me in for a lession next monday (test is the monday after)

so really i only have 1 week of practace, with a diff instructer,

my question is: how many lession should you think i should have up to my test?
as the new instructer has fit me in for next monday and then o only have 1 week left till my test

    how many do u think?

I failed 3 times and passed on the forth. Only cos i changed my driving instructor tho, he was well old and let you get away with loads of things. He would fall asleep quite often while i was driving around and i would just drive around until he woke up so i ended up thinking i was doing quite well but after i failed the 3rd time i got rid of him and got a decent one.

I think any idiot can teach you to drive but thats not what you need, you need to learn to pass the driving test.

I think it helps if you don't tell anyone you have your test as with me half the nervousness was about what people will think if i fail and how i will have to tell them.

I failed 4 times. It's really all about luck, the system is bollocks, the examiner should be able to decide if you pass or fail, not judge you based on one or 2 simple mistakes through some flawless driving.

For instance on my fourth test, i drove perfectly, apart from on a small windy road he wanted me to be doing 60 and i did 40 (it was a national speed limit road), and i didn't at all feel comfortable doign that speed down that road.

Passed 5th time, three minors, with the senior examiner at the centre, despite driving over a kerb whilst turning left!!!!

    They don't!

You can't go on a motorway until you have passed your test!
Are you sure you're not thinking of a clearway or something like that?

1st time for me. I should have failed though coz i drove terribly. Got 13 minors in the end though. I nearly went straight through some red lights but i saw them at the last minute. Also nearly hit a bus. Other than that i was fine

thought i'd ****ed it cos i saw the instructor making the ticks as I drove out the car park - saw him make three lines and thought **** I've failed this.

settled down thinking i'd already failed and it turned out he'd been writing my name d'oh!

First time. Took my first lesson on Monday morning and passed my test on Friday morning after only four lessons. My four driving lessons lasted all day, though!

I worked in the local fire brigade admin when I was 17 and they took me away from my usual duties for a week to learn to drive. the examiner was a fire brigade employee, so I suppose I would have had to be a pretty bad driver for him to fail me and keep me away from my duties for another week!
