How can you be sure that this isn't a ploy to make you install SP1 in an attempt to weed out all the Devil's Own serial number users?

I see both sides of the coin here, what do you think?

*edit* just visited the link... sorry
    shit that's bad...

i think the best bet is to get of WinXP all together, personally i think WinXP is a bag of crap and its TOO unsecure. Taking over machines etc. its a laugh but hey its what u get with a NEW OS they havent ironed out most of the major bugs yet

dingle_666 - what makes you think ur god like cos u hhave 2 firewalls? If your on WinXP it will probably close the firewalls down and throw up some 'Error' to try and hide the fact it wants people to get in.

WinXP is just too scary atm, its just a baby! cant wait to have a laugh at winXP 64Bit lol

er... wait a sec.. that hole were on about has nothing to do with firewalls n shit, its a vulnrability in the helpcenter code that allows certain malicously constructed links to delete files/dirs on ur HD... why would a firewall stop that exactly??
