    Depends on what you plan to use it for. If it's for gaming or video then the most important is the Pixel Response time. Anything under 25ms is good.

    I've heard the Samsung ones are good. I've got my eye on one of the new SOny ones atm, gotta save abit of cash up first tho.

    @t-rex
    I've got the Dell 1702FP (made by Philips).
    It's connected via the digital input to an ATI Fire GL8800, it's the dogs bollocks. If I get so much as 1 dead pixel then it will be replaced at my front door and this warranty lasts for 3 years.

    @Spike
    Every single TFT monitor dealer I have spoken to reckon the Samsung TFT monitors are shite.

    Only some of them are.
    The way to tell if it was made by Samsung or Philips is to look at the on screen menu. I've seen both the Samsung & Philips variants of the 1702FP running side by side and the Philips one wins hands down.

    The monitor everyone seems to be going mad for at the moment is the Samsung 181t.

    It's got a pixel responce time of under 25ms each way, which is superb for games.

    There are loads and loads of posts on overclockers.co.uk and [hard]ocp claiming how great this one is.

    Looks sexy, but it's not cheap. This beauty weighs in at around £704
