    Default DNS error

    Anyone else having problems connecting to DF, guess if you can see this post then you must not be

    anyway I'm getting the following error "DNS error - cannot find server"

    managed to get on here using 87.106.134.136 instead so it looks like the URL isn't resolving, (could just be talktalk's problem)

    Ive had DNS problems this week. The internet dropped on nearly all my machines, and it turned out to be all the machines that had auto on the dns that died. The preset DNS server in my router must have been switched off or something, as the machines that still worked had different set DNS servers in their settings.
    The pain I had was that I couldnt alter the preset DNS in my router, I had to telnet it.
    Seems ok now though....but oddly the old preset dns server still pinged, so something was still alive.

    Here are TalkTalk's alternative DNS Servers;

    DNS1 62.24.199.13 <--------Default
    DNS2 62.24.199.23 <--------Default

    DNS1 62.24.218.222
    DNS2 62.24.218.223

    DNS1 62.24.128.190
    DNS2 62.24.128.191

    Try putting them into your router on user defined and see if your internet improves. Worked for me, i use .222 &.223 now instead of default.
