    Newbie Conversion Rate

I have just started an online shop selling stuff from deal extreme with a decent mark up and ive had £0 orders week 1 and in week 2 i added my products to Google Shopping(Google Base) and week 2 i have £200 orders. But my conversion rate is 4.03% is that good or not?

Also i try to be the cheapest on Google shopping for all my products but i have 100 products and paypal changes its rates all the time so its hard to keep it spot on.

EDIT: PS: I know what a conversion rate is just not whether its good or not for my shop.

I'd love to give you some advice but the above post makes no sense at all. Is the 4% a conversion rate on the sales compared with the amount of visitors to the site?

    Sorry, just re-read my OP.

Should have said Sales vs Visitors. I just dont know what i should be aiming for (obviously 100%) but that would never happen. I have very good profit margins, making £5+ profit per unit on most items priced ofer £10. I just want to know what target rate i should be aiming for realistically. and whether 4% would be a good rate for a month old shop.

Online retail conversion rates vary wildly depending on what sector you are in. Also depends on the strength of the brand. Amazon, for instance, convert at around 15%. However, another retailer without the brand name selling the same products might only convert at half that or less.
