Anyone heard the new John squire cd(ex-stone roses,sea horses), i've been looking forward to this mans next piece for years only to hear it and find it's total bol)0cks, why the FCuk does he try and sound like Shane MacGowan from the pogues.Where's his style gone.This guy blew me away with his instrumentals in Stone roses and sea horses now he's just trying to sound like someone else.Bad bad career move, i'm glad i didn't buy it

STONE ROSES guitarist JOHN SQUIRE has said his old band are likely to reform for a new album and tour.
Squire has always been reluctant to speak out about a future for the Roses. However, in a new interview Squire said that although he wouldn't be interested in a nostalgic reunion tour, he would consider going back into the studio with Ian Brown, Mani and Reni to work on a new record.

"I don't want to do a reunion tour, because that would be putting matters to rest in the wrong way," he told Teletext. "If we were to reform, it would have to be to make a new album, and do a proper tour with new songs. I believe that will happen one day."

and a greatest hits album is out on nov 4th

Thats the best news i've heard all day, it's not like the guy doesn't know how to play, just his choice of style for this new album, i feel like complaining or somethin', i've been robbed.

I practically worshiped this guy when i was in the band doing original material.What possesed him to write that kind of stuff i'll never know.

I know that but they actually completed a second album just before the split whch sadly never got released but it is out there as some guy has the master tapes here and is selling them on cd for a tenner . He sells them in this seahorses forum

I saw the seahorses on tour and caught 2 of the upcoming tracks for the album and they were pretty good, I havent bought the 2nd album but was wondering if anyone here had heard it. Do you wanna go halfs on the cd with me?

For some reason I cant see Brown wanting to reform after the way squire treated the rest of the band. Browns doing just fine as a solo artist and his upcoming tour is supporting The Manic Street Preachers.
