Does ne1 find on their (cable) connection leaving kazaa running regardless of its download speeds can eat the internet connection so that internet explorer drops to modem speeds?

That's probably because KaZaa uses SPYWARE which silently downloads and uploads information in the background.

Remove it and install KaZaa Lite.

If you're upping stuff your dl speed will drop to 128 too (NTL scammers) sum providers give 256 upstream.

I dont know if this is a cable only thing, but I use KazaaLite all the time and it excellent. I am on ADSL with Zen and they dont seem to be doing any bandwidth throttling on P2P software at all - thank god! Normal Kazaa has a load of spy/Adware in it so dont use it - get the clean version Kazaalite from

    www.kazaalite.com

I get 40-50 kps downloads on popular files all the time.

    Cheers
