Easy when you know how, or where to look
yes mate, look in the windows directory and you'll find a username.pwl file - it will be named after your username.
Just delete it and reboot..
It will delete every password you've ever entered including the log on one (haven't used 9x for about 5 years so a bit blurry on that one)
upd - this isn't 98 i'm using but in IE in the internet options select the content tab then autocomplete - theres an option to remove passwords there as well..
