New computer, need help Please!

Hi, i just got my computer 2 days ago, I tried to install windows xp on it. Like i usually do with my other "old" pc when i format, use a bootdisk that has Smartdrive, install xp. But with my new computer, I did boot with smartdrive, but after it copies some files, it tells me to restart, and remove the floppy. Did that, but the prob when i restart, it tells me "Press A Key To Reboot" Like if the hdd wasnt there, but i checked in the DOS, its there, and... bios detects it. Please someone help if you have a solution, thanks

Computer Spec:

Asus motherboard A7V266-C
AMD XP 1900+
Asus GeForce 4 Ti4600 128mb/ram
Western Digital 80 gig hdd. Partition C:\ to 3 gigs and D: 77 gigs.

make sure your partitions are dos formatted, otherwise shit like that will happen.

not quite sure what your problem is exactly, just try and reformat it. I suggest using a conventional windows boot disk.

try to install an older OS like win95 or 98 and then install XP over that, btw you should not need dos to install XP.
