why dont you pm dashfixer on here he seems to be the man for that stuff
Jim at Dashfixer will not give me that info, I'm not one of his customers.
What do you need pinout for? Powerup or to program via CAN?
To progran the Dash with 24c128 without stripping
your both DF members here to help out and be helped..
it should not matter if your not a, quote..."customer" of his.
WE are all DF'ers and here to help each other along...
so "we" are asking Dashfixer for the info, please jim, could you help out..
Just do a search and you will see that Jim Dashfixer has never helped here, not in his interest to do so I guess as he has a well known Mileage Correction business in Glasgow. I dont believe he has been here for quite some time.
The 24c doesnt "pin-out" to the back of the dash and if you do find the pin-out the oscilator deffo doesnt. Thus leaving it a little unsafe to read on the pcb.

Hi, not the pin out but good to watch anyway

I was in exactely the same boat as you, bought the Dashfixer in 2004, Jimbo promised EVERYONE would get the new machine for free, even ones that were not fully up to date. He went back on every word.
I used to moderate the forum and post ALOT of how-to's, my id was Ashkirk98b.
Could you send me a link to your mates cloned forum? That would be handy, especially since alot of the posts were made by me.

Twincharge.
Are you having a laugh?
You bought your box in 2002.
Your last paid update was in 2004.
Your last enquiery about updates was the ones you missed up to and incl Nov 06.
Then you expect a new box in 2007 ?????
Call the Dashfixer office if you need to verify any dates or amounts you were behind. Or how many years you recieved help without purchasing anything.

Cloned the forum but you need to ask for help on a 2005 Scenic ?
There is a FULL description on the old and new forum for this car.

As to the pin-out, I will answer again. It does NOT pin-out to the back, or at least the Oscilator doesnt. I know because its me you seen in the video stripping the dash, lol and trust me when I say I have done lots of these cars. If there was an easier way |would have found it.

Look I don't want to argue about this, all I am saying is that one thing was said and another done. I felt I could have been dealt with better, as do others.
I think you will find that I provided more help than I asked for Drew, ask Louise how many times I actually called the office compared to others. My posts on the forum says it all, you cannot deny me that.
I don't want to call the office, what is done is done, I am no longer in this game and have moved on. I have no ill feeling and wish you and the rest of the Dashfixer team the best of luck. You guys do work hard I will give you that, but towards the end the support did become a little slack. Just as well I know what I am doing with this stuff.
Towards the end, the quality of the Updates suffered, and the price more than doubled. Add to that, if you did not update you were left with a dead Dashfixer. This is the reason I did not update, not financially viable for myself. There was a rumour that the lead programmer for Dashfixer had jumped ship to Enigma? Not sure how true this is.
Anyway, best of luck.
Hi all,
Just needed to add my two pennies worth to this thread,
I agree & disagree with whats posted, I have seen many posts all over the net with the same topic about DASHFIXER & although I am myself not 100% happy with how things have gone in the past, I can honestly say spending the £7k on their kit was one of the best things I did at the time.
They made getting into the game a very easy task, no worries, any problems there was someone at the end of the phone with the help & support you needed when ever you needed it.
OK the box locking out after a period of time was a bitter pill & the cost of updates was even more bitter but the help & support they gave was second to none.
I am still using my old box & its still earning, (if anyone needs help unlocking or updating their old box PM me,,FREE ADVICE)
I to backed up the forum before it closed & I can confirm 98b had a lot of input (Thanks to him for that, it helpped me 267b)
The old box still does enough to get by & newer vehicles require some different tools that can be purchased for the odd hundred or two not thousands.
The only thing is your on your own, no help.....& to be honest you don't need it, easy for me to say but if you know circuitry & an understanding of HEX code it's even easier.
There is no better feeling then being told by others that a car cannot be done & after a bit of studying of the data set realize the algorithm is the same as an earlier model just in different location.(60 plate Fiesta). Before I would have been on phone asking for help, don't learn anything that way.
Alright so a new scotty box would be great with most things being OBD & having someone hold your hand at times but for now I still enjoy doing it the old school way because there are too many people who can't.
Old Dashfixer forum had post for 2004 Scenic, post by Ashkirk132b & edited by dashfixer on 28/01/05 @ 8:16pm
