Battleground 1942

This game is a real flawed diamond, Anyone else got it yet ? If so how well does it run in single player game - I have to have it at 800 x 600 to get a non laggy game. This is going to be the ne4xt big thing online I think.

never heard of battleground 1942 myself.....

heard of a game called battlefield 1942 though...

dunno what the games like as me graphics card aint good enuff to run the bugger!!

off to the comp fair to get one this w/e !!

Game is great fun - just like the wake island demo.

I managed to get a couple of games during my lunch break against mates and bots. I never checked to see if you could adjust the bot skill but I hope so as they were god-like with their aiming.

The majority of reviews out there slate the single player game. The only I reason I bought it was for multiplayer online. There are some great maps - you can even command a submarine in one/some of them.

Try spawning as an engineer, loading the back up with TNT charges, race toward a tank, bail out at the last second and detonate the charges...BANG! Takes out the tank and anyone else inside! Happy, happy, joy joy.

I took the option and got this one coz all the hype I heard about it... and was disappointed.. why the fook does one have to have a geforce card for this game, the gfx are crap... looks like delta force runnin on old engine, lol... motion is bad (dont worry, had all the goodies turned to full) and first 3 times I had to restart the begger cos the sounds were distorted... you know if you have been playin worms what im talkin about.. high pitched screams, lol.. well.. found a setting that made em all work...

So, the overall opinion on this one... nowhere near as enjoyable as RTCW, doesnt even look half as good, lol...

Another great idea gone bad... too much too soon, they shouldve tested it a little further...

Singleplayer... dont even ask.. it was even worse, lol...

well I've been playing it all night online and have been enjoying it loads.

gets laggy when there's bunches of people in the same place - I hope they fix this.

Yeah this needs a patching alright - you guys running version 1.1 ? or it is higher already.

I think this game is ok really... but where the hell are the subs and bombers!!!!????

I havent found any maps containing these & its irritating me now!

I think it would have been much better if you could tailor each game by allocating what vehicles u want & where oyu want them... that would be class!... get a bit more strategy in there man!!!!

The Subs are only on Mulitplayer - they are on the Island levels - you can start on them - look for a single spawn point away from the crusiers - I havent seen the bombers but I expect they are in MP also.
By the way the subs are a major dissapointment as you dont get an under the sea view - it goes to the map!!!! - you will see what I mean when you try it - complete bollox.

I don't mind the map view with the sub. You wouldn't see feck all under the sea anyways. It gives that strange sense of power along with vulnerability.

...oh well..... but the B17's good... just found it in a CTF in a desert map!... flew straight into a hill but its not the point! .. i enjoyed it while it lasted... thats all that counts!

(the bubble gun view is cool)
