    Monkey bike

I have been offered a monkey bike from one of my friends .
It is a 1972 50cc model with only 352 miles on it . He has owned it from new and has never used it . It is in excellent condition but the wheels do require a bit of cosmetic work .
It also comes with a 70 cc upgrade kit and origional service manual with the first service token intact .
Honda are wanting to do an article on it , so i am sure it is a bit of a specialist item .
I am looking at storing it as an investment , but would like to use it occasionally, he is asking £1400 for it , does anyone know if this is a good buy or is it a bit steep ? , your help appreciated please.

I used to have a 50cc Monkey Bike. A real dog it was, but for £40 I could not complain. I'd find the cheapest one you can. I used it to 'commute' along the old unused railway lines when I had to much to drink to drive....

It's just not the same if you have a decent one...

Those were the days... Now I am supposed to know better.
