Default Crash to desktop without error msg

I have experienced a lot of crashing to desktop without any error messages in different games lately. This games are Ghost Recon, Battlefield, Hitman 2 ++

I've upgraded all thinkable drivers and also the bios, but still crashes. By reading a lot of forums I've seen that a lot of people out there have the same problem, but I haven't seen a singel proposed solution for the problem. Besides upgrading drivers that is. And that doesn't help.
I have also reinstalled XP a couple of times.

Can this be a hardware problem, like my graphic card, rather than an software issue??

    Anyone got a clue?

Oh and yes, my spec are:

    KT7-A ATA 100 mobo
    AMD T-bird 1,2GHz
    640MB SDRAM
    Soundblaster Live 1024
    Creative Geforce 2 GTS
    WinXP with SP1
    The latest 4in1 driver

    Default Not sure...

Not sure if this helps. Hitman II I was experiencing random dumps to the desktop. Really frustrating, in the middle of a mission and all of the sudden I am back at the desktop. No errors and the program (Hitman II) no longer in memory. What fixed this problem was turning down or turning off sound acceleration. I also had to do this in 1602 AD. From the run prompt type dxdiag and then click the Sound tab.

    Good luck, hope this helps.
